The Parish Council laid a wreath in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The wreath laid by Twyford Parish Council Chairman, Councillor Rohana Abeywardana, can be seen at the War Memorial in Station Road, Twyford.

Councillor Abeywardana made the following statement:

“Today we laid a wreath in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen was a remarkable person who devoted her life to service. She embodied selfless devotion and is respected across the world. It is impossible to imagine a Britain without her and we all come together in profound grief. The Queen shared in our hopes and fears, through the good times and the bad. Most recently, with the pandemic, the Queen offered strength and courage to us all, at a time when we needed it. May she rest in peace.”

The Parish Council also placed a message of condolence on the online Book of Condolence at Buckingham Palace.

Below is the link to the National Book of Condolence and any floral tributes* are welcomed to be placed alongside Twyford Parish Councils wreath.
