Twyford Village Fete Press Release

Get ready to be blasted with foam at the Twyford Village Fete obstacle course, which is being co-ordinated by Barnes Fitness and Castle Royle. This is one of the many attractions on offer at Twyford Parish Council’s fifth annual event -‘Twyford Village Fete’.

The event, which takes place on Saturday 17th August, brings together the Twyford community, allowing residents to interact with local businesses and charities. Last year, this event helped raise over £2,000 for local charities.

This year’s event will feature The Dog and Duck Show, which has been shown on BBC Countryfile. This entertaining show includes fascinating insights into how to understand dogs, demonstrations of dogs’ natural instincts and a very amusing display of sheep dogs working with ducks.

There is a full schedule of activities planned and music by our local Bullfrogs band. In addition to the classic car show, tug of war, football tournament and Millers Ark Farm, Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre will be running our very first dog show. There will also be food stalls, a bar and local crafts.

Wokingham Borough Council’s Community Funday will bring a host of activities along with the climbing wall and inflatables with many of the activates being free of charge. Parking is £3 to charity.
