A4 Update on the Unplanned Works

Thames Water have had to arrange to fix two major leaks. One being water and the other gas. The water leak has been fixed and the reconnection of the main gas pipe was due to take place late yesterday by SGN. Thames Water have now taken back the site to reinstate the road. They are currently hoping to complete this by tomorrow. In the meantime, WBC are assessing if a speed restriction can be put in place with the narrowing of lanes to enable both directions to flow and remove the temporary traffic lights.
