Village Centre Regeneration Project

The Twyford Village Centre Regeneration Project report has been prepared by PJA on behalf of Twyford Parish Council as part of a review of the potential for public realm, pedestrian, and cycle improvements in Twyford Village Centre.

The centre of Twyford is currently dominated by a signalised crossroads, which causes considerable queuing and delays, impacting the experience for those travelling on foot or by cycle. There is limited scope for increasing capacity at the junction given the constrained space available and the staggered nature of the junction.

The Twyford Neighbourhood Plan Policy TW5 sets out plans for the Village Centre Regeneration Area, aimed at addressing the current issues (For more information regarding Twyford’s Neighbourhood Plan, see here:
